Meet our founders - Jose and Cristiane Barreto, together they started Nhac delicious foods. Jose and Cristiane are married for over 25 years and have 4 children who also work at Nhac with them. Nhac has always been a dream of Jose and Cristiane and it all started with the famous Zé do Pão De Queijo cheese bread, from there they decided to open up another business to produce many more delicious snacks, the range now includes pies and croquettes, and soon many more recipes daily.

This delicious homemade cheese bread originated in Brazil around the 18th century and is one of the most popular dishes in Brazilian cuisine. It brings you the true flavours of Minas Gerais, the state where the very first recipe was made. In the beginning, they were handled manually with the rustic tools of the time but in a very artisanal way, even in the time of slavery.

Pão de queijo gained strength due to its enriched flavour of the traditional Minas Cheese, which was always mixed in recipes of the region. Nowadays Pão de queijo is known and appreciated in all states of Brazil, but will always be in the heart of Minas specialties.
